Bay Area producer P-Lo is at the helm of an exciting project that brings together some of the most prominent names in local rap. He shared his experience collaborating with the Warriors to develop a soundtrack that captures the city’s rich musical heritage. The latest single from the album, titled "Had To," features P-Lo alongside two legendary Bay Area artists: E-40 and Too Short. Their influence on West Coast hip-hop is undeniable, and their presence on the track cements its authenticity. Both rappers have been longtime Warriors fans, with E-40 even mentioning his courtside season tickets in his verse. A tribute to Bay Area hip-hop wouldn’t be complete without including them.

This year, the Warriors are shining a light on the Bay Area’s rich music scene. As part of the festivities, the team’s label, Golden State Entertainment, is releasing "For The Soil," an album that celebrates the region’s hip-hop legacy. The Warriors are preparing to host NBA All-Star Weekend, bringing the league’s midseason celebration to San Francisco. More than just a basketball showcase, the event has transformed into a cultural spectacle, drawing stars from music, film, and television.

For The Soil aims to combine the excitement of All-Star Weekend with the essence of the Bay Area. By merging basketball with music, the Warriors are creating not just an album, but a cultural moment that honors the city's legacy and influence.
